Niagara Flag Rugby was founded in the fall of 2007 by three (3) rugby enthusiasts who wanted to expand and improve the playing opportunities for Niagara Region youth in the sport of rugby.

Mission

Niagara Flag Rugby is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to develop the individual abilities of each rugby player for the purpose of improving his/her playing skills and his enjoyment of rugby. Niagara Flag Rugby endeavours to offer both competitive and house league programs for youths/adults aged 4 to 14.

The objectives of the Niagara Flag Rugby are the promotion and furtherance of:
  • Individual Development - through active participation in rugby activities designed to develop the individual.
  • Promotion - of rugby to the youth of the community in the Region of Niagara through the participation in team play.
  • Govern - all youth and junior rugby within the geographic boundaries of the Region of Niagara.
  • Fellowship - through the promotion of good fellowship amongst its members on the rugby pitch.
